#10FsForASuccessfulLife - (9) #ShunUnderservedFame

When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. ~ #John6/15

Success is intentional! I can't stop trumpeting this statement. It is alright to desire to be successful. At the end of the day, one of the notable miracles of life is the fulfilment of being successful in whatever endeavour you set your heart to. (Tweetable?Do It)  The ninth rule which i consider sacred in one's quest for success is learning to shun undeserved fame. There is the tendency to want to show yourself or product prematurely. One person tweeted that speed isn't necessary when knowledge isn't acquired. (Tweetable?Do It).  I have seen many who thought in spite of advice that they were ready to be known and seen. They coined titles etc for themselves as a means to showcase their arrival. Sadly, they can't be found today simply because, when you stretch beyond your capability, the evil forces of life will break you. They have a vested interest in your failure!

The lurings of early fame is something every child of destiny will wrestle with for some time. (Tweetable?Do It). More so when people you know you are better than in terms of skills, abilities, talents seem to be making it whilst you are struggling. Unfortunately, we easily forget in life, the race has never been to the swift but time and chance happens to all human beings. A person's ability to maximise their time and chance will set them apart in spite of their perceived weaknesses.(Tweetable?Do It

The rules for fame are respected by the forces of change. The opening scripture depicts Jesus escaping the trappings of underserved fame nearly imposed on him by man. Earlier at age twelve, he had tried to jump ahead of his time for manifestation by arguing in the Temple with the teachers until God used his parents to save him. It was premature exposure! I could have jumped ahead of my time. I was called earlier and gifted with the office of the Prophet. I don't struggle to see and that too could have been a great challenge had it not been for God. The tendency to want to let others know you are powerful is always rife. (Tweetable?Do It). Learning to escape as Jesus did is the most prudent thing to do until the right time.

Remember, John the baptist was in the desert until the day of his showing forth. God has set a day whereby He will showcase what you have become to the world. He builds His generals in secret and at the right time, shows them to the world. Your fame will be noised abroad! Man is attracted to fame but be sure you don't step ahead of your time. Destruction awaits for the soul that is in a hurry to occupy the position it cannot justify. (Tweetable? Do It)

To #ShunUnderservedFame, here are a few tips :-

1. Understand God's plan for your life
2. Understand the timing of God for your showing forth
3. Understand that training is a necessary ingredient in God molding you
4. Pray to be constantly still until the time of your release.

THINK ALOUD :-

Why do you think people run after underserved fame?
